好像一切都很糟糕

Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble. 迪茲先生進(jìn)城
加里·庫(kù)珀,琪恩·亞瑟,喬治·班克羅夫特,萊昂內(nèi)爾·斯坦德,道格拉斯·敦布里勒迪茲（加里·庫(kù)珀 Gary Cooper 飾）是一位小有成就的商人，早已經(jīng)衣食無(wú)憂的他希望能夠從繁忙的事務(wù)中脫身，將時(shí)間更多的花費(fèi)在自己的興趣愛好之上。一筆價(jià)值兩千萬(wàn)的巨額遺產(chǎn)從天而降落到了迪茲的頭上，報(bào)社問詢派來(lái)了記者芭比（琪恩·亞瑟 Jean Arthur 飾），希望她能夠從迪茲的身上挖掘出一些吸引眼球的新聞。剛開始，芭比十分看不慣迪茲的處世為人，但隨著時(shí)間的推移，她漸漸被后者的善良和正直所吸引，兩人之間產(chǎn)生了浪漫的愛情。迪茲決定將得到的遺產(chǎn)用于幫助深陷貧困的人，這一舉動(dòng)遭到了律師約翰（Douglass Dumbrille 飾）的質(zhì)疑，他堅(jiān)定的認(rèn)為迪茲的腦袋可能出了什么問題，甚至將他告到了法庭。
