都巖剛剛與數月前結識的年輕單純的出租車司機海結婚。卡姆對都巖懷有深情，這噯不被越南的道德觀所認可。受到那埋在心底的噯以及嫉妒的驅使，卡姆把都巖推向自己的情人陶的懷抱。和陶在一起，都巖第一次發覺自己在傳統道德束縛丅那顆沉睡著的釹人心。

哈蒙德（理查德?阿滕伯勒 Richard Attenborough 飾）立志要建立一個非同尋常的公園：恐龍將是這個公園的主角。他把眾多科學家收歸旗下，利用琥珀里面困住的遠古蚊子體內的血液，提取出恐龍的基因信息，利用這些信息培育繁殖恐龍。結果如愿以償，他把怒布拉島建立成了一個恐龍公園，堅信可以從中賺取大錢。然而，科學家們則憂心忡忡。 不幸的事情果然發生了。雖然公園有電腦系統管理，但卻因為被員工破壞而造成了無法挽救的失控：所有的恐龍逃出了控制區，人們紛紛逃竄卻逃不過恐龍的魔爪。恐龍自相殘殺，人們亦死難無數，最后幸存者寥寥，只得四人逃出生天。怒布拉島上空彌漫著恐怖的氣息。
