紅色危險的誘惑

　　有聽力障礙的珠英（李先彬 飾），與妹妹珠憘（韓秀娥 飾）終于買下夢寐以求的新房，卻沒想到噩夢才正要開始。　　某天起，珠憘開始被來自公寓某處的神秘噪音折磨得身心俱疲。那讓人不耐的樓層噪音，不僅讓她無法安睡，更像是潛藏某種黑暗秘密的警告。正當珠英離家工作時，珠憘突然失蹤，讓驚慌失措的珠英立刻趕回家，并與珠憘的男友基勛（金珉錫 飾）聯手追查真相。同時，住在樓下的神秘男子（柳炅秀 飾）也長期受噪音困擾，認定一切都源于樓上的這對姊妹，讓他情緒逐漸崩潰，揚言要對她們痛下殺手……　　真相究竟藏在誰的耳中？噪音背后，又是誰的瘋狂正在近逼？

 一顆隕石撞擊蘇格蘭偏遠森林，意外喚醒了自尼安德特人時代就蟄伏地底、以骨骼為食的遠古克蘇魯式怪獸 “守骨異獸”。1976 年，調查者詹姆斯?惠勒深入洞穴后離奇失蹤，僅留下一張怪獸剪影的 8mm 膠片。數十年后，他的孫女奧利維亞為尋找同樣失蹤的母親，帶領一群好友與怪獸專家哈里斯教授，深入洞穴系統調查連環失蹤案，卻不知自己正被這只地底生物步步獵殺，陷入絕境求生的獵殺游戲。

暴雨將至，轟隆隆的聲音夾雜著人群的呼喊聲砸向操場，正在參加小學田徑比賽的唐平安重重的摔倒在地面，當母親李枚趕到醫院時，醫生卻給了再生一個孩子做骨髓移植的建議，李枚怔怔的站在深不見底的樓道，像是對她過去十幾年最好的懲罰，故事從這里開始。十幾年前，李枚在計劃生育政策下為了生二胎，不得不將襁褓中的女兒歲歲遠送他鄉親戚，不料幾年后，漸漸成熟的歲歲卻成了猥瑣養父趁女兒洗澡時偷偷窺視的對象，看上去多余的歲歲在一次爭吵后離家出走，流浪的女孩卻遇到了新的“父親”劉建凱，一個住在船上打漁為生的男人，以父女相稱，看起來生活就這么好起來了。幾年后，突然一個陌生的女人闖入歲歲的生活，自稱姑媽。其實是李枚兒子平安突發白血病以后，他們想起了被自己拋棄的女兒，通過當年的一絲聯系，輾轉找到了女兒歲歲，這是這個家庭唯一的希望。只是女兒歲歲似乎早已經知道了真相，他們互為朋友，互相試探，互相利用，最終他們都要回家，可是歲歲的家到底在哪里？

　　Set in an underground dungeon inhabited by bundled, ragged human beings, after the nuclear holocaust. The story follows the wanderings of a hero through the situations of survival. People wait for the Ark to arrive and rescue them while their habitat falls apart.　　Delving deep into the dusty and long abandonded vaults of b-cinema in search of lost gems always leaves me with a bittersweet taste. On one hand the discovery of unexpected gems where no one would think them possible is a rewarding experience. On the other hand though it makes one wonder how many of these remarkable low-budget oddities, personal love affairs of directors never quite famous and now all but forgotten, have almost forever slipped from memory?　　n any case what we have here is a little post-apocalyptic gem from Poland that is really better than it has any right to. The dystopian near future of O-BI, O-BA finds a group of survivors of the nuclear war that ravaged the Earth inhabiting an underworld concrete bunker and biding their time as they wait for the mysterious Ark, an air ship of some kind that will come and save them. The Ark proves to be an elaborate hoax, carefully designed to give hope to the malnourished and desperate denizens of the bunker, while in the meantime the dome that separates their miserable existence from the nuclear winter outside is slowly caving in.　　What first striked me about the movie is the design of the bunker and the depiction of the survivors. The survivors are gaunt, filthy and terrible-looking penitents, dressed in rags and aimlessly wandering the neon-lit halls of the bunker like automatons. The bunker is a rundown, seedy place, with bright neon lights peering from all sides like the eyes of malignant beasts.　　On one hand it is a slightly 80's depiction of the dystopian future but the movie never stoops down to MAD MAX cheese. Instead it combines biting political satire with the bleak outlook of a world with no future, black comedy with barbs on apathy, religion and power. The survivors, for example, are fed some kind of flour dropping from a tube that hovers in the air - later on we discover the food supervisor uses books and the Bible itself as filler for this meagre meal. There are many such short symbolic touches, perhaps not life-changing or faith-restoring, yet playful, clever and inspired.　　One thing is for sure; O-BI, O-BA is not your run-of-the-mill sci-fi schlock. It overcomes its modest budget with creativity and has genuine artistic aspirations both from a writing and directing perspective. My opinion is that it should have been filmed in black and white instead of colour though. The director uses atmospheric light and shadow to great effect and it would have registered even better in stark black and white. The blue-green neon on the other hand outstays its welcome after a while. Just a minor gripe in an otherwise solid b-movie with its heart set in all the right places.　　Imagine a less bleak THE ROAD (Cormac McCarthy) being injected with the satire and humour of DR.STRANGELOVE and you're getting there. See it if you can find it.
