本片跟隨記錄了素有當代行為藝術祖母之美譽的塞爾維亞行為藝術家瑪瑞娜 阿布拉莫維克（瑪瑞娜 middot;阿布拉莫維克 Marina Abramovic 飾）于2010年在紐約現代藝術博物館MoMA舉行的大型回顧展Marina Abramovic: The Artist Is Present的全過程。該次展覽中，藝術家曾經最著名的幾件行為藝術作品通過受邀的30位年輕當代藝術家重現，而瑪瑞娜;阿布拉莫維克本人則在對藝術與人類無限的追逐反思中再次創作了一件驚世駭俗卻又動人心扉的行為藝術作品。同時本片還回顧了瑪瑞娜 middot;阿布拉莫維克與曾經的靈魂伴侶Ulay之間的愛恨情仇。而Ulay與瑪瑞娜在表演現場的和解也讓所有人為之動容。 本片獲得2012年圣丹斯電影節、2013年美國獨立精神獎等多項提名，并奪得2012年柏林國際電影節大獎。

Ay?e, Ali, Mehmet and Zeynep are middle-class millennials struggling to make ends meet in Istanbul. Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. 　　However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. 　　Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble.
