桂治洪“邪”三部曲之首。民國初年,廣州西關陳家家道已中落到,只剩陳秀英(恬妮)、其入贅的丈夫楊振宇(王戎)及服侍秀英的丫環。秀英體弱多病,稍一走動便會連咳不止,振宇是賭徒加酒徒,在外一遇不順心事,便會對秀英及丫環拳打腳踢,丫環無法再忍,別秀英歸家。這日秀英迎來自稱陳府仆人之女的梁綺華(陳思佳)。見秀英身虛體弱,綺華表示愿留下將她照料,秀英將振宇惡習說明,綺華仍毫無猶豫,秀英感激不盡。對這位新來的丫環,振宇自沒給予特殊優待,但綺華也非“善類”,某日她瞅準機會聯合秀英將振宇殺害。秀英從此陷入恐慌,終被振宇的“鬼魂”嚇死。她至死不知的是,綺華原是振宇的情人,而振宇與綺華亦沒想到,秀英竟然“陰魂不散”。

Ay?e, Ali, Mehmet and Zeynep are middle-class millennials struggling to make ends meet in Istanbul. Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night.   However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements.   Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble.
