Ay?e, Ali, Mehmet and Zeynep are middle-class millennials struggling to make ends meet in Istanbul. Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. 　　However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. 　　Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble. 　　德高望重的亞歷山大（讓·雷諾 Jean Reno 飾）多年來一直是米其林餐廳的三星主廚，但是近來他的境遇卻屢現危機。當下的法國料理界正是”分子料理”風靡，傳統料理日漸衰落的時代，亞歷山大所堅持的傳統料理很有可能會在即將到來的星級評審中落敗，餐廳的小開更是翹首以盼可以就此炒了他。正當亞歷山大焦頭爛額之時，一名名不見經傳的小廚師杰克（邁克爾·揚 Micha?l Youn 飾）出現了，杰克是亞歷山大食譜的忠實追隨者，卻因對料理的狂熱固執屢次失業，只好在養老院找了份油漆工作。一個偶然的機會，亞歷山大讓杰克到他的餐廳實習，杰克與生俱來的料理天分和另辟蹊徑的烹調創意令亞歷山大大為賞識，很快成為其左右手。星級評審越來越近，兩位傳統烹飪大師的合作能否在挑剔的”分子料理”派面前力挽狂瀾呢？

　　奧賽羅（謝爾蓋·邦達爾丘克 Sergei Bondarchuk 飾）是驍勇善戰的大將軍，元老的女兒苔絲狄蒙娜（伊琳娜·斯科布采娃 Irina Skobtseva 飾）愛上了他，但因為奧賽羅是一名黑人，所以兩人的婚事遭到了元老的反對。不愿意就此放棄這段感情的兩人決定私定終身，這個秘密被一直嫉妒奧賽羅的旗官伊阿古（安德烈·波波夫 Andrei Popov 飾）給暗中偷聽到了，于是伊阿古決定破壞這段姻緣。哪知道伊阿古的搗亂反而促成了這段婚事。　　伊阿古并沒有善罷甘休，奧戴羅和苔絲狄蒙娜結婚之后，伊阿古通過偽造定情信物的手段開始挑撥這對夫妻之間的感情。占有欲極強的奧賽羅很快就走進了伊阿古設置的圈套之中。
