劇情提要

　　教授“精神心理衛(wèi)生”的陳聰明（王洛勇 飾）在評(píng)定教授職稱的課上口出驚人之語(yǔ)，校長(zhǎng)再也無(wú)法容忍這位行為瘋癲的老師，于是后者進(jìn)入一家惟利是圖的精神病院暫時(shí)棲身。在這家醫(yī)院工作的梁海潮（袁文康 飾）難以忘記前妻柳悅（張靜初 飾），經(jīng)陳聰明開(kāi)導(dǎo)，梁海潮決定把前妻從開(kāi)補(bǔ)藥店的蕭春雷（陳曉東 飾）那里奪回來(lái)。此時(shí)，日日與補(bǔ)藥作伴的柳悅在工作時(shí)崩潰，也被送入精神病院，在陳聰明幫助下，梁海潮將柳悅救出，而蕭春雷將柳悅的藥吃下導(dǎo)致情緒失控，被精神病院關(guān)押。梁海潮認(rèn)為奪回前妻的時(shí)機(jī)已到，而陳聰明則開(kāi)始想法幫助受害的蕭春雷……

 故事發(fā)生在第一次世界大戰(zhàn)期間，瑪麗（克拉拉·鮑 Clara Bow 飾）暗戀著英俊的杰克（查爾斯·巴德·羅杰斯 Charles 'Buddy' Rogers 飾），可是杰克的心思卻全部放在了大小姐西爾維婭（喬拜娜·勞斯頓 Jobyna Ralston 飾）身上，無(wú)奈西爾維婭亦有她的心上人，那就是富家子弟大衛(wèi)（理查德·阿倫 Richard Arlen 飾）。戰(zhàn)爭(zhēng)爆發(fā)了，大衛(wèi)和杰克投身軍隊(duì)為國(guó)家效力，在軍中，身為情敵的兩人關(guān)系漸漸緊密，之后成為了摯友。一場(chǎng)激烈的戰(zhàn)役中，大衛(wèi)遭遇了意外，悲痛的杰克決心為朋友報(bào)仇。然而，杰克并不知道的是，大衛(wèi)沒(méi)有死，他甚至偷到了一架敵機(jī)。正當(dāng)大衛(wèi)喜滋滋地駕駛著敵機(jī)返回營(yíng)地之時(shí)，與為朋友報(bào)仇心切的杰克撞了個(gè)正著。
