Ay?e, Ali, Mehmet and Zeynep are middle-class millennials struggling to make ends meet in Istanbul. Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. 　　However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. 　　Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble. 　　即將退伍的南韓兵長千禹（高庚杓 飾），某天意外在緊繃的南北韓軍事線附近，撿到一張飄向自己的頭獎彩券，之后卻一個不小心，讓這張彩券乘風飄向無法涉足的北韓…。為了靠57億獎金實現退伍夢想，他使出渾身解數尋找彩券，沒想到竟被北韓士兵榮浩（李伊庚 飾）給撿到…。跟彩券擦身而過的 千禹，以及在北韓不過是張紙片，必須到南韓把彩券換成獎金的榮浩，再加上意想不到的成員們共同加入，雙方為了死守這57億巨額獎金，決定“越線”展開驚險刺激的機密協商······
