John Price,Preben Neergaard,Lotte TarpThe main character is Dr. Max Holst, a successful neurosurgeon. One day an intense little man named Steinmetz shows up, who has the real ability to create objects out of thin air, using only his mind. As no one believes him at first, he is held at a ward for mental patients, but manifests the key to his door and escapes. As he has a special interest in Dr. Holst, Steinmetz subsequently invites Holst to his large mansion, which is full of expensive paintings and sculptures, and proves to him that he can in fact materialise objects. Steinmetz’s abilities are evolving by leaps and bounds, and is progressing from being able to create objects only to being able to create living things. His ultimate ambition is to be able to create a human being. He tells Dr. Holst that if he will only perform a certain brain operation on him, Steinmetz will become able to attain his goal. He’s got all the necessary equipment set up in his basement. Dr. Holst, however, is too spooked by the whole thing to agree to this mad scheme, and refuses. Steinmetz then sets about manipulating Holst’s life, to pressure him into performing the operation. By then Steinmetz has become able to create a temporary human being, and in the hope that he can perhaps make his own creation perform the operation, he manifests a doppelganger of Dr. Holst. This double proceeds to take over Dr. Holst’s life, creating chaos for him professionally and personally. And then Dr. Holst starts fighting back. The ending has the dual virtue of being both unexpected and satisfying.

中村優一,小林涼子高中三年級學生朝倉曉生是個車迷，這天他在車行里發現了一輛深藍色的日產FairladyS30Z。這正是傳說中的“惡魔Z”，號稱速度最快的改裝車。據說“惡魔Z”仿佛有著自己的意志，能夠根據情況做出反應，它的高速令人生畏，卻又深深地吸引著追求速度之夢的人們。“惡魔Z”曾經的擁有者都出了事故，這輛車在世上銷聲匿跡了一陣，竟然又出現了。曉生迷上了“惡魔Z”，為之投入了全副精力，試圖去完全掌控它。 繪梨子的哥哥晶夫也因為“惡魔Z”而死，繪梨子非常討厭這輛車，反對讓它復活。然而曉生的熱情感染了她，她在曉生身上看到了哥哥的影子，漸漸地開始支持他。 繪梨子的男朋友島達也曾經是晶夫的賽車朋友，他認為應該把“惡魔Z”銷毀，阻止再有人犧牲。達也將愛車黑色保時捷911重新改裝，向曉生發出了戰書。 惡魔Z與黑鳥的對決拉開了序幕……

Though a seemingly impossible heist, success would not only save the lives of his forest friends, but it would also give Frankie a chance to win back the love of his life, Lola, a local "show squirrel." Sadly, Lola has been burnt by too many of Frankie's false promises in the past. With the support of Frankie's old mentor, Mr. Bellwood, a wealthy badger, Frankie and Cody assemble a team of top notch "crackers" from all over the forest, including: a bat named Fly Boy, a top notch munitions expert; Raitch, a computer hacking albino snake, who never allows her lack of appendages to get in the way; Edsy a tiny "family frog," whose ability to freeze himself solid for days on end without harm is invaluable; a germophobic French rat named Liam, who can collapse his skeleton to get into any space; Chinese father-daughter pangolins named Pango and Lin, the best diggers in the forest; and Bellwood's hedgehog butler, Oscar who knows how to get his hands on anything the crew needs. With winter knocking at their door, Frankie and his crew have only three days to prepare and execute this unprecedented heist.
